As I entered the realm of teachers in an ordinary school in the system, I do realized that there are lack of actions can be taken by those unfortunate teachers.
Thousands of words had been preach. Hundred of forums and discussions are being made to improved the teaching method including "innovation teacher program" but every single effort become useless when it met ignorance. Stupidity can possibly be cured through some ways and the only difficulty of it is to find the perfect cure are a faster rate but ignorance? there are no answer for ignorance. It used to be the violence as the cure for ignorance because human body can feel pain and this painfull experience help the person to remember the meaning of respect and the consequence of being ignorance.
After the removal of the such power of violent-usage as a counterbalance to the accusation that the teachers had frequently had the disease of "lack-of-rational decision" or "the-small-little-kid-cannot-be-a-villain". This removal had not been replaced with anything good that had the similar effect to preserve respect to the teachers.
We can be friends to the student but being friends doesn't mean they can go in and out of class whenever they want to, doesn't mean they had the power not to write anything in their book, doesn't mean they had the priority not the brings books to the school.
It is no more stupidity is the source for a lot of red ink being used in the report cards but lack-of-discipline is more likely be the first on the top.

When I was in MRSM couple of years back, the warden still practices his deadly tit twist that put fear into almost everyone.. hahaha...
