Last Thursday I had been given an opportunity to join in a high motivational programme, the leadership forum. 4 speakers are sharing their successful live, one VP, one SGM, and 2 GM. Apparently all of them used or still work in the same company as I am. So, their experience is very much relevant.
One.
he has a non-stability life. While working, always look for opportunity at others places and apply. Apparently, he keep getting it and succeed. His rules of thumb - always belief that the default setting is the best, human always creating mess.
Two.
Being a VP due to his experience following presidents for years. Some decisions are just to be made whether it sound weird or not. He always believe business is everywhere. F1 is one of his secret. Now I know how the top management think despite how the others think. Well, Pareto rule, the 20% is always better or heavier than the 80%. One left, ten stays - show his regret on our incidents.
Three.
Reviving a trading company, chasing by Yakuza and sacrificing further study is some of the interesting stories come from him. After been asked about set back, he did lose a most valuable laptop once and scolding a guy for buying Christmast Tree in May for billions of ringgits. Ha ha ha. But well, he is one tough man to still surviving till today.
Four.
A very humble man with drastic measure everywhere he set foot on. Re-org is one of his best ability and tool to make thing get better. Not afraid of igniting changes really make me admire him and wish to be able to do so. Afterall, I think the current setup I am in now is suck big time. Everyone fo everything. Not very much helpful in KPIs culture.
Well, I just hope one day (hopefully soon), I will be one of the speakers and inspires every attendees. fuh~ what a dream.
